We are an independent, family-run boutique based in Brentwood, Essex since 1991.   We first opened our doors to brides looking for original and unique bridalwear and, after dressing brides for their wedding day for over 25 years, we are still as passionate as ever about helping you find exactly the right gown for your wedding with lots of ideas and inspiration to make you feel really special.

Throughout your preparations, from your first appointment until the collection of your gown, our attention to detail and commitment to making your wedding the perfect day you've been dreaming of, ensures that you will receive the utmost in customer service.

When should I start looking for my dress?

It's never to early to start looking for your dress. We recommend booking an appointment as soon as you have set a date for your wedding as this will enable you as much time as possible to find 'the one'.  Ideally leave a minimum of between eight and twelve months. 

Most of our samples are sized between 10 and 14 (which with our clever pinning or lacing can fit size 6-18!) and we have a lovely selection of samples in sizes 18-28 for the curvier bride.  Also bear in mind that a size 10 on the high street could mean a size 12 or even 14 in bridalwear - please don't worry, it's only a number!

Do I need to make an appointment?

To ensure that each bride receives the best possible  service we operate an appointment system at the boutique.  Saturdays are always busy and appointments do get booked very quickly, so for a Saturday we recommend booking an appointment 2-3 weeks in advance if possible.  We allow one and a half hours for a mid-week appointment and one hour on a Saturday.  During your appointment you will receive the undivided attention of one of our highly trained bridal stylists who will help you as most dresses have no hanger appeal, so left to your own devices, you might find the search more difficult.

Who should I bring with me?

On the day of your appointment, choose your companions carefully,  it may seem a great idea to bring all your friends and family but as our boutique is rather intimate seating for guests is limited so please don't bring too many people. 

Please bring people whose opinions you trust and will help you make your decision, you will never please everybody and too many opinions can be unhelpful and confusing.  

Remember, keeping your choice of dress a secret helps with the surprise on the day!

What if I want to loose weight before ordering?

If you are planning to lose weight before your wedding, it's still a good idea to order early and the size can be defered (subject to time) until you have reached your desired weight.  Please inform your stylist when placing your order so a date for re-measuring can be arranged.  It's always safer to order the dress size you are now, just incase the weight loss doesn't go to plan and remember dresses can always be taken in!

When do I pay for my dress?

We require a 50% part payment of the total price of your dress and accessories and the remainder is due when the items you have ordered are delivered to our store.  Remember the 'R.B.A. Deposit Protection Scheme' is included, free of charge, with every bridal gown ordered - this gives extra peace of mind to any bride anxious about losing money committed to their wedding dress.

When will my dress arrive?

Delivery times can vary according to the designer. As a general rule dresses take between 5 and 8 months. to arrive in the shop so ideally you should aim to be ordering your dress 9-12 months prior to the date of your wedding (or travel date), this is to ensure that your fittings and any alterations can be arranged and completed in plenty of time.  We do love it when brides give us lots of notice, however for our 'last minute' brides it is always possible to arrange a 'rush cut' from one of our designers so you could receive a gown within a 8-10 week period, an additional charge will be required to enable this to happen.  Or we can offer one of our 'sample' dresses which can be bought off-the-rail to take away with you.

Do you offer a fitting and alteration service?

Most dresses are ordered as a standard size and will require some alteration - and our fitters and seamstresses have over 30 years experience.  We pride ourselves on our first-class alteration service so you can be confident that your dress will fit you absolutely perfectly on your wedding day. 


Are alterations included in the dress price?

All alterations are priced separately, purely because every bride's fitting is unique and will depend on how much work needs to be done.  We do not offer 'package' prices and you will only pay for the work carried out.

How many fittings will I have?

Usually, two or three is the norm.  We offer an initial pre-fit as soon as your dress arrives which will give you time to select any accessories, we will then book you a pin-fitting - usually 8-10 weeks before your wedding date and a final one after the dress has been altered.

Will you store the dress for me?

Yes!  We are happy to store the dress for you, most brides leave their dress with us for safe-keeping until they are ready to collect.  Your dress is presented in a protective bridal cover or we can box it for you if you are travelling.  We will ensure it's checked, pressed and ready to be worn on your big day!



Do you offer a packing and boxing service?

Yes, we offer a packing service if you are marrying abroad and we have a range of beautiful handmade travel boxes that are especially designed and sized to fit in the overhead lockers and meet the airline requirements. Our Wedding Travel Boxes will protect the dress from any untoward accidents whilst travelling and provide sufficient protection on your journey, they are then suitable to store and preserve your wedding dress after the wedding.

Can I purchase one of your sample dresses?

Our constantly changing stock and new arrivals mean we have to wave farewell to some of our favourite dresses so we have a stunning collection of dresses available reduced by up-to 70% from the original price - and all available to take home with you on the day!
